shwoing off definitely x99, but for gaming, 1150 is better I'd say, also don't need the formula, get the hero instead an dget a 780ti with money saved

The 4790k build is cheaper and about as powerful in gaming as the 5820k. Get the 4790k.

I am not worried about the price difference. I am more concerned about which one will perform better and work the best right out of the box and into the future.

The i7 will last not as long as the 5380k ofc but by the time a 4790k is becoming redundant, so will the 5380k, both are great but I'd rather go z97 and get a better gpu with money saved

At this very moment, get a 4790k and a $1000 295X2 instead of any nVidia card. Unless you want two of them, then get a 5930K so you can run them both at 16x... That would be showing off in style!
