Hey guys , I'm thinking of upgrading this PC since I don't think it's gonna run all these upcoming games (Dead Rising 3, Evil Within, Witcher 3) I'm going to upgrade both CPU and graphics card, thought I don't enough budget for both right now.

My specs right now:
CPU - AMD A6-6400K 3.9GHz
Mobo - MSI A55M-E33 FM2+
RAM - 4GB DDR3
GPU - Gigabyte Radeon R7 250 1GB GDDR5
Storage - 1TB HDD
PSU - 400w PSU that came with the case I bought

Thinking of upgrading my CPU to FX 6300 (Buying a new mobo too) and upgrading my GPU to R7 270. What do you guys think ? Should I get CPU first or GPU ?

APU's are really rather weak in the desktop market. In a laptop they're competitive, but in a desktop it's bottom of the barrel.

That said I have no clue as to what your budget is here. If I had to chip in with a suggestion here it would be go with an LGA 1150 i3, and an H97 motherboard. LGA 1150 socket will enable a good upgrade path later on, and be better overall than any APU.

Yes, upgrade to the A10-6800k or 7850k depending on the money you have.

You could also go to the 5800k too...though it may be tougher to find it. Any of those listed above would be the best options available to you at this time.

So I should just upgrade my CPU to A10-6800k instead of getting a FX 6300 and a AM2 mobo ?
