Hey I have a bunch of old computers and electronics lying around my house and I want to build a customized lamp for my bedroom. I want to use a Dell powersupply with max output of 305W as the base of my lamp and other circuit boards and pieces as the frame. I am going to wire a couple of the fans and LEDs just to give it a few moving parts and originality.

My main question however is that the lamp fixture reads 250V and 250W so how would I go about wiring this so that it works and does not catch fire or anything. I already know how to slightly rewire the powersupply to trick it into thinking that it is connected to a motherboard, but considering most output from the wires range are usually 12V, 5V, or 3V, how am I going to achieve 250V or is this not even possible?

Thank you.

Can't, you're mixing AC and DC. Just power LED's with it, or plug a lamp into the wall like they're meant to .

Okay thanks, and yeah I was thinking that I would just have to use LEDS.
