p9x79 pro Mobo takes 1-2 minutes to start up

My friend has a home built with the p9x69 pro mobo with i7 3820. After pressing the "On" button it takes ages for the bios to kick in and the OS to start loading. Once it gets going, it is going and there are no problems then on. Any ideas on what causes this? thanks

its not the board which takes much time its the hdd check your star up too much start up can cause slow booting scan your pc with a good updated antivirus and defrag your HDD.

Download HWInfo and run Sensors. Post the results - usually 3 screenshots in TinyPic or similar.

Chieftec isn't real flash. Which model? - Super, Smart, SFX, Navitas, Arena or what?

Is the 8gb ram 2 x 4gb 1600 kit?

What free room do you have in your SSD?

Remaining SSD space 39.7GB

Ram is 2x 4GB

CPU and GPU clocks, voltages and temps are OK. Chieftec voltages are OK.

SSD read and write is slow. Do you have AHCI enabled in bios?

Right. My friend reseated the ram and gave the rig a clean out and that seemed to fix the issue. Thank you for your help I7Baby
