I have been recording my gameplays for a while now, and I haven't been so great at it. It is hard to record minecraft especially with DXtory. I have tried shadowplay but that doesn't work. Anyway, I used to have a file size of like 20 or 22, now I bought a 500gb samsung 840evo SSD and put that in, I have faster speed but I still lag a little at the start of my recording. Please help me, I just copied my drive using Acronis. I need fast recording speeds.

So you are using DXtory still for recording?

And are you are using two hard drives in your system...one for recording to and one for playing the game from?

I am guessing you mean file size in GB?...and if so, for how long of a video? and any other information on the recording bitrate you are using?

What is the rest of your setup?

Have you ever recorded gameplay with no issues at all?

You might get a bit of improvement after debugging the drivers. (Install samsung magician, clean up a few things). It's not just how fast the computer writes to the SSD that affects recording framerate. I have friends who have high end gaming PCs and still experience lower framerates while recording. Your computer just might not be powerful enough to both run the game and record it at the same time. There are options to feed the gameplay to an external monitor through an intermediary recording device. The HDMI goes from computer to the recorder and then out to a display. It would minimize load on the computer and keep up framerates. It would be the fastest recording speed possible.
