Well I am going to finally be purchasing all my pc parts in about 2 weeks, and I'm having a tough time deciding which processor + mobo combo I should be getting. Lets say I have a 330 limit on parts and wanna get them from amazon.

My first combo idea would be to get an i5 4690 with a full size H97 board, which would come in at 330. But, What would be the point in getting a full size h97 board I ask myself? Wouldn't it be better to just grab a micro h97 board since I won't oc'ing on it, and it wont run sli mode? Or would it be better to grab a Z97 micro and a K processor, then get an aftermarket cooler down the road and OC it?

Any opinions would be appreciated, I wanna build something great that will also play dolhpin emu full speed (My gpu is going to be a gtx 770)

what will you be using the computer for.

ATX is designed for users who need lots of expansion slots or in general a ton of connectivity. Micro ATX is designed for mobile/small form factor users that need a computer that is smaller because it either won't fit somewhere they need it to fit, or they need it to take to LAN parties without sacrificing 2 way sli and 80% of ATX advantages.

Also, most times micro atx is more expensive because of the smaller form factor, so ATX with the same features might be cheaper if your on a tight budget.

I plan on using a single GTX 770 as any h97 board (Budget section) Won't even run SLI mode, or at least not from what i've seen. I plan to just have a higher end gaming build with a nice i5 4690, and a gtx 770. In the future I might upgrade my motherboard and get another videocard.
