I have an ASUS P7P55 D [Intel i5/i7 Socket 1156 PC3-17000 DDR3-2133]MB.
It takes a PCI-E 2.0 x16 slot video card. The card is currently going bad.

OS: Windows 7 Pro 64 bit w/16 gigs memory. [just upgraded — formatted HD and put the new OS & 16 gigs in, last month]

The EVGA GTX [GeForce] 750 card was recommended to me to replace the existing card [GeForce 9800 GT — 82 pin]. It however is a PCI Express 3.0. Don't know pin factor.

Question: Will the GTX 750 card be compatible with the current MB AND fit in the 2.0 slot?
Must get a new video card and want 2 gigs memory. Current card has 1 gig but, like I said, is going bad.

Can anyone help me, please!! :??:

Boy, talk about F A S T !!!! Thanks Icraft. My Man!!! Guess I'll go over to newegg [great guys] where the card was recommended to me and grab it while it's hot. LOL
Love the fan, BTW, it'll cool the 2 gigs.

Yes, this is true. 2.0 only starts to limit once you hit HD 7990 levels on one card. (Or using XDMA crossfire like in the r9 290)

No problem, I spend too much time on here. :p
