So currently i've been experiencing lag from other wireless users, i'm currently using an ethernet cable for my internet, and there are 3 more users using the internet but wirelessly. 2 of the users use youtube, and one downloads videos from youtube, this creates a big impact on my game and lags most of the time. I can turn off the wireless, but i choose not to and tend to play when no one is using the internet. But at the moment it's beginning to get annoying and i started to research on alternatives to reduce lag while gameplay, or block them from websites.
I'm using JUST a NETGEAR Modem/Router (No Antennas on it) and the program NETGEAR Genie.
My ISP is Optus, average download speed is like 350kb/s since it's just ADSL.
I found that Power line adapters and Routers may help me and reduce lag, but i'm not too sure about purchasing one of them so i needed some suggestions on that.
But is there a possible way where they can browse youtube and cause me not to lag? Or could i possibly limit the download speed using NETGEAR Genie?
Could i somehow separate the internet between my computer and theirs? like have my own server, while they have theirs?
EDIT: Forgot to mention, i wouldn't mind having two plans in one house (if that's possible) would i possibly be able to make that happen so that i have a plan to myself?
