Acer aspire v5 touch screen

Laptop starts and I can log in but then the screen goes black.

Unable to do nothing. This warranty ran out in march. They want over $100 to try and fix over the phone at Acer. I am on as and cannot afford there fees. Please help if you can

You probably have a driver issue but you might have to do a reset or refresh. Hopefully you have backed up important files previously, if not you will want to do the refresh option. You will have to reinstall programs but your personal files should remain intact. Reset will return it to how it came new. The best option is probably to begin with attempting a repair which you should be able to access by pressing F8 immediately after powering on the unit and keep pressing it rapidly until you see the boot menu with the repair and safe mode options. Unable to access f8 restore. After starting up it goes to login and will not open I'm f8

Try holding down the shift key while you mash the F8 button. Begin immediately after pressing the power on button and do NOT stop until the menu appears.
