My computer turns on but has no video output and will not turn off once it turns on (via the same power button). I just installed an h50 on my cpu and everything worked fine before then.
I have a 4770k, z-87-a, my video is through my gtx 770 and im running windows 7.

Solution
I agree with kapitalistas BIOS reset is the first thing to try, and right after try all video outputs..
after that try a second PSU..

The CPU does not die without a good reason, mainly overheating or electric damage. So only if you have such reasons to suspect the CPU is damaged try a different one.

Following try a different PSU. A bad PSU can run the computer fans and all, but may not reach the voltage/amps/watts required to achieve BIOS post, video, etc.
Which fan on the motherboard is not running? that would help better diagnose the issue.
In any case before you can diagnose the motherboard you have diagnose the PSU...

1. You can replace the PSU with any which is known to be working...
2. and if it doesn't make a difference, it's the motherboard.
3. Sometimes it's not either PSU or mobo but corrupted BIOS settings and resetting the BIOS with battery off for 5 to 10 minutes can help restore normal function.

So i got the fan on the motherboard running by doing a wire checkup throughout the case.

Also took out the video card and ran hdmi from the motherboard, still no video output and the power button only turns on; not off.

what fan.did the led is on on mobo.

i have no idea about that h50 did you bent mobo when installing did the bracket bolts or pins not going thrue the in to case.just remember what you was touching when working on installation cause here is no magic you did something not right you know.

Yes I agree - I did have to use some force at parts of the install and I had some trouble mounting it onto the cpu. For the computer to turn on does that mean the cpu is ok or no? How about the mobo?

to shut computer off via button your have to hold in.can you try different cable (connection from mobo to monitor)

Unless you don't have a mobo speaker/beeper, if you are not hearing a BIOS beep, it's either the PSU or mobo... start with the PSU, testing with another one.

The trouble shutting down with the power button (pressed up to 10 seconds) Can be the PSU or mobo not switching off, most likely the PSU.

So now the computer will turn both on and off (5 sec power button hold) and the cpu led is on.

The RAM led was on earlier but I reseeded it and the light switched to the cpu one.

I supposed I should reinstall the cpu cooler, check the cpu for damage, check all the connections etc.

If that doesnt work then its time to try a PSU, CPU, or MOBO?
