1600 mhz cas 7 vs 2133 cas 9 ram

Solution
Less sticks is better but still want to populate all the channels to enable the full use of quad channel which is 4 sticks, you can go 2 sticks and run dual channel but that sor of defeats the purpose of buying a quad channel rig, to immediately hamper full possible performance, 2133/9 is better performance wise than 1600/7, 1866/9 and 1600/7 are about equal - and yes the Rampage supports 1866

Thx, i read that using less sticks of ram is better. that is wjy i was opting for the 2x8, as for 1866 my specific motherboard doesnt support it. it jumps from 1600 to 2133. i also read that a lower cas can be better than jumping up in MHz, thas why i was wondering if the 1600/7 would actually be better/faster than the 2133/9
