I got a free download license of Watch_Dogs game with my GPU, I downloaded it and played it a few times before it so happened that I had to format my PC, but before doing that I made a backup of everything related to Watch_Dogs (C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Watch_Dogs). But now that I have reinstalled Ubisoft and placed the game in the same directory it would still demand to download the game files. Do any of you know any workaround without applying a crack, because I really want to play the only legit copy of a PC game I ever owned :p

Solution
Okay figured it out

1) Start downloading Watch Dogs through Uplay until you have about 5MB.

2) Stop and close Uplay.

3) Delete everything inside the Watch_Dogs folder that was created by Uplay. (C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Watch_Dogs)

4) Copy your backup copy into the Watch_Dog folder. (C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Watch_Dogs)

5) Delete everything inside: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\data\274 (uplay_install.state and manifests folder)

6) Start Uplay and the Download button for Watch Dogs will change to Play.

7) Verify files and play!

I had a similar situation after moving from Win7 to 8.1, but for wahtever reason that did not work for me. When I directed it to the correct loaction and hit play it still initiated the full download. I ended up wiping the data completely and going at it fresh. I did not however have any issues with steam or origin games detecting/playing.
