So earlier I got a BSOD then I checked online and it said that I should update my graphics driver and so I did. The problem is that I tried installing AMD Catalyst Software Suit 14.4 (I had 13.1 or something). I installed it everything was good then it asked me to reboot the system and so I did and then whenever it went after the "Windows is loading" screen it goes black. I could still hear the sound it makes when it opens but I cannot see anything. I went to Safe Mode and uninstalled the driver with Display Driver Unistaller. I read somewhere that I should download AMD CCC 13.12 and I did. It works but when I go to AMD CCC's Software tab and to My Computer>Manage>Device Manager>Display Adapters it says AMD Radeon R9 200 Series. Also, I tried to up the fan speed and it doesn't change anything.

Is everything alright or should I do something?

Here are my specs:

CPU: i5-4690K @ 3.50 GHz
Heatsink: Corsair H100i
GPU: Gigabyte GV-R929OC-4GD
RAM: 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws
MoBo: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI
PSU: SeaSonic G 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular
SSD: Crucial MX100 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
HDD: 1TB WD Green
Case: NZXT M59

Ok try driversweeper.
You first uninstall the drivers the usual way from control panel.
Later you copy driversweeper to a location you will remember.
Restart your pc and hold F8 , select safe mode.
Once in safe mode open up driver sweeper and select analyse and clean AMD- DISPLAY .
Once you are done with that reset.
Pc should have amd display drivers sweeped off from it, then install the drivers you wish!
Hope this works out :)

It could be that your power supply is too low rated.
You need lots of power more to power up that graphics card.
550W is generally insufficient to power up an R9-290 card (yours).
I would recommend an upgrade to a 750W PSU such as this one.

Yeah I read that they replaced Driver Sweeper with Display Driver Uninstaller so I already tried that method :(
Do I have to uninstall the VGA Stantard and the Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 drivers that appear at My Computer>Manage>Device Manager>Display Adapters ?
