I have decided on getting a gtx 770, but I cannot decide on which one to get. It is either:

Zotac AMP! 2GB gtx770: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

MSI Twin Frozr 2GB gtx 770: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Leaning towards Zotac because its $35 cheaper but if the MSI is really worth it I will get it.

Also, will it bottleneck my Athlon x4 760k?

EDIT: Now it is either ASUS, EVGA, MSI, or perhaps something else you guys come up with. ASUS seems like the best option as of now
EDIT 2: Bought the ASUS GTX 770 for $299. Woot.

I would go for the Twin Frozr for sure. It's a reliable brand and one of the best coolers on the market. It's also the quietest.

Eh I got the MSI one myself and love it but either will really be the same performance wise get the cheaper one

That is a bit low of a CPU but shouldn't give you too much trouble

The rankings in reviews last i checked was EVGA Super ACX, ASUS DirectCU II, MSI Twin Frozr, EVGA Dual Classified ACX, and Gigabyte Windforce,. I am running an MSI r 9 280x on my build and all i have to say is the twin frozr cooler is amazing, even under full load on max settings on valley benchmark i am maxing temps at 70. That being said they are different cards. I have heard some bad stories form MSI cards, but overwhelmingly they are very positive. If it was my money, i would buy msi. I trust them so much i am getting a second gpu for my system in 2 months or so.

Thanks for the answers guys! It seems like the MSI is really good because of it's cooling. What I'm about to say is going to sound really nooby but I don't know a lot about this stuff; so what is so important about cooling? I have heard a lot of things about it. Besides keeping the gpu cool, what does having a good cooling system get you? Is it worth the extra $35 to have good cooling?
Edit: Why the EVGA over the other two? That's even more expensive :/  $274 is pricey, $309 is pushing it and $319+ seems like too much

Better cooling means it is not going to suffer from thermal throttling and you can overclock higher. Being quiet is also an advantage as the GPUs can get pretty noisy.

in one word, yes. the gpu will put out a lot of heat. good cooling on the gpu will draw it through the heatsink and if you have good airflow in your case it will go out of your case and keep your components cool. I have a really good cpu cooler to keep the heat that was taken off my gpu and keeps it from heating up my cpu. with open airflow it tends to send the heat to the rest of the components unlike blowers (although blowers like on the reference r9 cards sometimes, aka more often than not, have higher temps. and very high temps lowers lifespan of parts and can be very bad for your performance and build overall. good cooling in the long run saves money bc parts last longer and some can be reused in future builds or test rigs

I would go with the EVGA but it requires a rebate to be $319, so I think the MSI is a good idea. A more popular and reliable company. One last question: With the msi gtx 770 will I be getting 40-60 FPS with max settings on games like AC Unity, Shadows of Mordor, and Dragon Age Inquistion?

Since none of those games are out it is impossible to say for sure but I would be very surprised if you don't get those frame rates, so i'm going to say yes.

Wow! Alrighty then. That is a VERY low price, but is it better than an Asus? They will both be $299 since the EVGAs Rebate validity ends today. Or can I buy it today and still take advantage of it after today?

MSI. But if you want a suggestion, I'd get the Gigabyte 770. I love it.

I would buy one of these three because I personally think they are the best.

I own the EVGA model and it works great... For the price I would get the EVGA or Asus of the above.

Your CPU will probably bottleneck you to some extent. A GTX 760 might be more appropriate for your CPU honestly, but the 770 for sub 300$ price point is a pretty good buy (considering it is an overclocked 680 that sold for over 500$ at launch).

Alright thanks. I will probably be upgrading my CPU in a few months so as long as it does not bottleneck too badly it will have to do for now. But if I can get the EVGA for $279 I will go for it, but if not it is the ASUS. Seems to have better performance according to all the videos and articles floating around

I am just gunna go with the ASUS because by tomorrow they will both be at the same price, and the ASUS seems to perform better. Thank you to everyone who helped me with my decision.
