Hey guys i recently bought the xonar xdg pcie sound card and i went into my bios and turned off the realtek hd audio which i think is the onboard sound. However, i do not know what to do now. Windows won't recognize my headset and mic now that realtek is gone. I have my front panels connected to my sound card but there is no sound coming through to my headset (because its not detected) Can you guys help me get my sound card working?

Solution
if in the bios under onboard devices the sound card is off. you have to install the sound card drivers for the new sound card and reboot. on reboot go under windows sound devices and set the new sound card up as the default audio device.
