BOOTMGR is missing error

I've been running into a recurring problem over the last two years or so... which, if i recall correctly, only started to show up after I did the latest format of my hard drives.

In short, I typically leave my computer running over night. That'll be fine for about two weeks or so. Then, randomly, I'll go turn on the monitor and the only message will be "BOOTMGR is missing". Recently, the same message showed up during a reboot following a random BSOD (so I'm assuming that's what is happening in the dead of night).

My troubleshoot has been pretty simple. Access my BIOS during the boot sequence, see that my primary drive (the SSD with Windows 7 on it) is not in the boot list, reset to optimized defaults, see the C: drive back in the boot list, and save settings and reset to boot.

So it's something I've been navigating for years now, but it's happening more frequently. Any ideas on the software end that I could try to help remedy the root cause?

Thanks all!

on the ssd make sure that it running the newest firmware. some drives when they start to fail will do what there doing now. try running hd tune and ssd tools that came with the ssd. if it intel ssd use the free intel tools from intel web page.

Ok.. I think I know what's the problem. This one is maybe a hardware fault. Your motherboard cell is faulty. You need to replace it, because it stores your BIOS information and without properly functioning cell, BIOS settings can't be stored anywhere.
Also, you can try updating your BIOS.
