Recently my Toshiba Laptop has started disconnecting it's self from the internet with no warning. I can reconnect it but a few minuets later it will only disconnect again. It is not my router because every other device in the house works fine.( devices include x-box, hp laptop and tablet). I tried going though Toshiba's people because it is a new computer but what they said doesn't make any sense. they said that because I had two different security programs it had corrupted some portions of Windows 8.1 to the point that not even doing a factory reset can fix it. Am I wrong? Does any one have any Ideas?

I have seen a few people have this problem and still have no idea what it is. I am thinking it is a problem with windows 8 and some types of networks. Maybe try change some settings like security options on your router/modem.

Actually It appears that I have found the issue. Norton one of the security programs that I had instated also the one that comes with the computer seems to have been the problem. I uninstalled it earlier to day and after a few tries of connecting and disconnecting it stopped disconnecting. If it does continue to behave then it would make sense why the problem followed even after a factory restore. So lets cross our fingers and keep a look out.
