I recently assembled a new computer .
AMD FX-6300
Asus M5A97 R2
GTX 750ti 2gb OC
Corsair 8GB DDR3 (2x4)
2TB HDD

I am using my same old Acer Al1916w monitor with it and I am facing resolutions problem?
First I installed all the latest Monitor Drivers Acer E Display Management utility and problem got solved and I got the native resolutions ie 1440x900.
But again another day when I started the PC same problem caused and got the resolution of 1280x1024.

I googled this problem and found a solution that you need disconnect and reconnect vga cable and power cable of Monitor after doing this I got the native resolution .

But this seems to be not the solution as i have to do this disconnect/reconnect everytime when I face resolution problem.

My question is there problem in graphics card or vga cable or monitor or Driver issue?

are you using the blue one? an actual VGA cable? if yes you may need to change up.

additionally attempt to save the resolution as a profile it could be then during shut down your computer is (ping) the monitor and as a result of the program closing thinks its a second monitor.
