I have had Xfinity performance wifi at my new house for 3 days now. In the past 3 days, I have been getting randomly disconnected for short periods (10 seconds) and it is very infuriating. It happens only when playing games or on skype. Calls drop, games time out, its really annoying. I tried to use comcast's online chat service but that was no avail and they tried "turn it off" "reset it in the back with a pin" and all the other generic solutions that did nothing at all. This past hour my wifi has dropped at least 3 times. Its killing me.

Connect to the modem via a wired connection, and see if the issue persists. If it happens wired, than your ISP needs to fix the issue. I would call them and explain the situation.
If it only happens over wifi but not wireless, could try and change out your modem/router and see if that helps.
