So im thinking of building a htpc, i first was thinking about something like the gigabyte brix or so because its really small. but it still costs about same as if you build one and you get better specs only its bigger.

so i want it as cheap as possible and yes i know the case is of the more expensive ones but i like that you can get diff colours so thats why i go for it because i may upgrade it later with a gpu and so for my gf.

but for now it will just be a htpc so anything i should change? like psu or so?

the reason why i go amd is i think they are much better for htpc's then intel because of their apu's that are really good.

You're paying more a slight performance boost imo, and maybe better graphics but if you can afford a better cpu, I'd go intel , but yes, go for it if you can afford it

For now it looks good.
I would only add another stick of RAM, and the PSU will allow you to add an Nvidia GPU later one, if needed.

Regarding the case, if you are stuck on the green Prodigy, there`s not much we can do :)
However, if you care more about size than looks, you can check the Silverstone SUGO SG10. It`s actually smaller, and it fits a mATX mobo, including really big GPU`s, if need be. They have a very unconventional layout, but you can get a very strong rig in a very small case.

Edit: I just noticed that you got the Silverstone Strider PSU. If you can get a fully modular one, I strongly recommend the Silverstone PP05 cables. They are especially smaller size cables for small cases, and help a lot with the cable clutter and airflow improvement.

I heard that some modular ones wont fit in this case as its suggested to go with a normal one, i myself would like modular more but idk if they will fit. the one you suggested sounds fine and maybe will.

And modular are more expensive and i wanna keep the costs as low as possible, since afterall its a htpc not a real gaming pc but that i got already : )

How about the apu would the new 7xxx serie be better? like the AMD A10-7850K Black Edition would it be worth it?

Or would any of the A6 or A8 7xxx serie still be good enough? i will mostly watch movies etc and stream 1080p vids etc with dlna and soo so would a A8 be better and take down the cost a little or is it worth it to just get the AMD A10-7850K Black Edition or so now?

I can afford thats not the problem but is it worth it, i dont wanna go intel since they cost more and "sucks" for this for gaming pc's then inte lis the way but when it comes to apu's amd is really great for that and for a htpc amd is the way to go imo,

but i wonder if something like the AMD A8-7600 would be better "worth it"
