Hi all,

I don't have a proper display adapter on my Windows Vista operating system. All I have is a Standard Visual Graphics Array (VGA) Graphics Adapter which does not work. The Standard VGA adapter says: This device can not start (Code 10.) When I try to update it is says that is is alreay up to date.

At the moment All I can see is a blurry screen that looks like I started windows in safe mode:??:

The question is:

How can I fix "This device cannot start (Code 10)?
OR
Is there an adapter for Radeon HD Graphics?
OR
Is there any display/graphics adapter I can download?

As far as I know, you cant download display adapters. Which Radeon graphics card is this? (More specifically, like a Radeon HD 5850 for example).

Also, Vista is fairly buggy when it comes to drivers, so I wouldn't put it past it that it's giving you problems. Just make sure all the drivers you try out are supported by Vista, as well as uses your bit OS (64/32 bit).

Or if you have any more VGA cables lying around, give those a shot.

Sorry, Update:

I am on a laptop and I do not have a VGA cable or a external monitor. And yes, I think it is a 5850 series.

The thing is, I am not using the Radeon HD graphics card. I am using no display adapter/driver. If that makes sense. That is why It looks like I hve started windows Vista in Safe mode.
