Got a GTX 660 ti in my rig at the minute but it's displaying artefacts and there's been a massive drop off in performance, with it regularly locking up now. Need advice on whether to go with a EVGA 780 ti or a normal 780. I have one monitor I use for gaming on (1920x1080) and another panel for watching films etc. (1920x1080). Any help and advice would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance,

Ash

In your position, I would grab a cheap card to keep you going (used 660 or something), then get one of the new Maxwell series cards (800 or 900 series depending on the naming) when they come out in the next couple of months - this would be best for longevity I would say.

Thanks for the reply Rob, the card finally konked out. So even with the second screen always being plugged in and often having twitter and the social stuff on at the same time as gaming, it wont need the 780 ti? I only ask because I can afford to get the ti and I don't upgrade my components very often so future proofing is quite important. Also I occasionally stream, idk how big of an impact that could have. Sorry for being so noobish!
