Hello,

first of all:
- FX-8320 x8 Vishera
- Thermalright HR-02 - Macho 120 Rev.A
- r9 280x Sapphire Dual X
- Sabertooth 990fx R2.0
- HypeX Fury 1600MHz (3x4GB)
- Chieftec 650W CFT-650A-12B

I've overclocked CPU on 4.6GHz, 1.44v and it's stable, but when I'm trying 'Power Supply' test in OCCT 4.4 the PC shuts down after about 25secs. I don't think it should be that way.. That Chieftec is a really old model.

So, my question is if should I buy new power supply? Or it's something else's fault?

Well, i had a hard time finding english info on this PSU, but it seem it does not meet ATX minimal requirement and is not a 80 + Bronze certified which is the minimum you should look for when searching for a PSU.

Refer to this list for better PSU. Try not going lower than Tier 3 PSUs : http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-su...

Thanks for the quick replay :)  I've just payed for the new XFX 650W XXX Edition Pro. That should do the job.
Thank You once again :)

I've reached my max fully stable and enjoyable :D  configuration with that PSU. CPU is oveclocked to 4.4Ghz on 1.35v and I think that's max with my current CPU cooler (temps rises up to 80C with high LLC). Cheers :)

It will throttle at around 70 and shut down.

It's all fine, tested with prime95 and occt for couple of hours. Max temp. was exactly 75.6C. It's not kiling CPU temp., fx series works on high temperatures after OC. I'm still thinking about liquid cooling but I'm not sure if that is worth it's price.

No don't go for liquid cooling, your cooler is already very good. Also, this Temp is only reached after running CPU at 100% for more than one hour. While gaming, your CPU will not get to that point. Since a game will usually get your CPU to 70-80 % on 4 cores.

Yes, You're 100% right. I've just monitored temps while gaming about 2-3 hours in Metro Last Light Redux (all very high) and the max temp was up to 65-7C so it's really fine.

Now it's even less.. 60.8C was the highest temp. Thank everyone for Your answers, I appreciate that. And be happy with your builds ;D
