Will the Intel pentium g3258 be sufficient for Dota 2?

First of all, This is my first post in this community.
I am tight in budget and wouldn't want to spend extra cash for getting not what I want.
I heard that this CPU adapts the Haswell technology and unlocked so its great considering its price.

But my doubts kicks in like, this processor is Dual Core, wouldn't it affect the optimal load times for Dota 2?

I hope someone give me positive remarks. Or else I would switch to AMD athlonx4 760k.

*Also, would g3258 bottleneck my GPU (Radeon HD 7770)
thanks for reading.

The G3258 is great for its price if you're going to overclock it heavily.

I have no idea what limits Dota 2 load times, but you really can't do any better for the money. Dota 2 is pretty low-fi so I don't expect you'd have any performance problems whatsoever.

It should be consistently faster than the Athlon II X4 760K in games. Additionally, the LGA-1150 socket gives you an upgrade path to a Haswell or Broadwell Core i5 later on.

Thanks for the answer, I'm gonna oc it a bit, not heavily. I'm only planning to play Dota 2 and CrossFire(from Tencent Games). So maybe this would be suffice. Now I just need someone who has this current CPU playing Dota 2 on how many seconds/minutes does it take to load Dota 2

trust me,this thing is going to run dota without a problem.i played it with a hd 6670 and a athlon le-1640 just fine, and a friend of mine completely maxed it out on nVidia GT240 and G3258,but i dont remember how much time it took to load, but it was fast...

While I don't play Dota 2, game load times are usually affected much more by things like hard drive performance, memory bandwidth, and internet performance. Your CPU is involved, of course, but those things are usually more likely to limit load times. Running the game off of a fast SSD is likely to help load times far more than any processor would.

Besides, you're comparing two processors that perform somewhat similarly. Even if the G3258 did hurt load times, chances are the Athlon X4 760K wouldn't do any better.
