Hi,
The title pretty much summarises everything; will a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO fit inside my Fractal Design Define Mini micro ATX case? The specs of the case state that there is 160mm of clearance for a CPU cooler, and the Cooler Master website says that the cooler is 159mm tal, but before I shell out I want to be 100% sure that it will fit in properly. Bear in mind that the Define series, or at least the Define Mini has noise dampening foam inside the case which may reduce the clearance slightly.
Oh, and one last thing, I read that when mounting the 212 EVO it can be mounted vertically and horizontally, but only horizontally when attached to an AMD system. Is this true? If so then it would mess up the airflow in the case.
Thanks for your help.

Supports CPU coolers with height of 160mm

Should fit.

OK, thanks for reassuring me. I saw a YouTube video that feature a case that had "160mm CPU cooler clearance" but the cooler pushed on the side slightly which is which put me off.

There is always that chance when dealing with 1mm.

But some builders have it fitting ok.

Ah well, guess I'll have to take my chances and sand down the end of the heat pipes if its too tall ;)  Thanks

Anytime I don't know why they just don't make them the cases a tad wider.

Maybe the will one day... Do you know anything about the orientation of the cooler? As I said in the first post, I read they can only go one way on AMD and I've not seen anything else to confirm or deny this.

You use a push config toward the rear exhaust fan.
