Finally sold my old pc and xbox one wooo. Now I get get back the real land of real gaming when I build my first gaming pc! That's where I need your help... I'm not too good with computer components, this is why I'm asking you guys to build me the best possible gaming pc with £1000

I have a windows 7 cd, so I won't need that
I will also need a nice monitoring, IPS or TN? I'm not sure? I've heard IPS is better quality but slower? I'll be playing FPS games you see so I need everything speedy!

I'll be buying the parts tomorrow so your help is really appriciated!

The SSD is not essential at all, it's just a really nice extra. Even without it though you're a bit short of the next best GPU, the 780 Ti.

That link doesn't work.

how so .it working for him thats enough for me:D

That link just shows anyone who clicks it the last PcPartPicker build they had opened. It doesn't show 'your' build at all.

EDIT: To clarify, once you have made a build on PcPartPicker.com, copy the Permalink and post that.

Proofy

Admirable
I wouldn't take Extreme3 MOBO with devils canyon CPU... take ASrock Extreme4 mobo if want to go for asrock

better solutions: ASUS z97-a or Gigabyte gaming 5

save money on memory and take 1600MHz, 1600-1866 doesn't make any difference in games

See for yourself:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z97%20Extreme4/?cat=Specifications

Nicer heatsink, extra PCIe x16 slot, more gold plated connectors, a Dual BIOS, etc.
It's nice, and if you afford it go for it, but it's £40 more expensive, which I think isn't worth it for your build.

As for the RAM, the 1866 is only £1.50 more expensive than 1600, that's why I went with the 1866.

Here`s what I`ve done with explanation about each component.

CPU: Its 3.5Ghz so no need to OC now. Save money for a cooler, buy cooler, oc later.

MoBo:Reliability of Asus. 2 x8 PciE 3.0 Slots for good CF results. Also has good onboard sound. Great allrounder.

Memory:Fast, reliable memory.

Storage:I have gone hybrid because it fastens booting up. Its all automatic. You just use it like an HDD, but it copies your most used files to its Flash. Best of both worlds. Theres an article about HDD vs SSD vs Hybrid on this site.

Video Cards:R9 285 is the new R9 280-280X. Good for value. But you may want to get a stronger single card, cheaper mobo, or keep the mobo and CF later.

Case:I like that case. Its really good for me. Good cooling, side windows, compact.

PSU: I think its tier1, and gold efficiency is nice, also high wattage.

Monitor:I prefer 5ms IPS`s to TN panels.

Some may like my build, some may hate it. Also I am going to accept that going one card now may be a better idea :)
