How many years do you think this computer will be good for? I plan to stick with this desktop for at least 7 years if not more. Do you think I will be able to play future games coming 5 years from now with this desktop? I spent about $4800 for this desktop that includes 4k resolution UHD ASUS PB287Q monitor. Had 1500 off because of the labour day sale.

So after 5 years, If I wish to upgrade the video card to that latest one they have that time can I upgrade it?

A lot happens in 7 years.. We could be looking at 8K+ resolutions. Maybe new video cards won't use PCIe anymore or something. For all we know, games in 2021 will be unplayable on anything less than a 32 core quantum processor.

You've gotten about the best system possible with a single video card. 4K is demanding and I think that in newer titles there will be a benefit to throwing in a second R9 295X2 someday to maintain high framerates and high/max details. Based on my own experiences, I think you're going to go about 4 years without a major platform upgrade; maybe more, who knows.

Thank you for the help. Couple people here saved me from getting $4600 CPU with AMD 9590 octa core processor, and DD3 RAM. 4 years would be alright for me. I will be using this PC as long as it can play future games in lowest graphics I will be happy. Somehow, if this desktop goes through 7 years then GREAT!! If not, I keep about $1200 budget every year for the Desktop. That helped me get my dream system in 4 years :) . Budgeting 101 helped me.

Good call avoiding the FX-9590. That i7-5930K is in a completely different performance-per-watt category.

I've managed to keep gaming at 60 FPS in most titles on a nearly four-year old i5-750 and P55 motherboard, needing only a video card upgrade this year. And that was only an ~$800 mid-range system when it was new. So that's my point of reference.
