How much VRAM for dual monitors?

I plan to game on one monitor and browse/video edit on the other. I'm planning to...probably...purchase a R9 280x with 3GB of VRAM sometime in the near future.

What's the maximum expected resolution I could push for on both monitors as well? I only plan to do 1080p, but would like to know for future reference, if needed.

You can run games on that, but not in 1080p... Or at least at a decent frame rate. You could do it in 1600x900 but that would probably push it, you could turn texture quality down in games to reduce the ram usage but I would suggest buying a graphics card with about 4gb VRAM, hope I've helped. ( you could defiantly do this if you were using medium-high settings in 1080p, at a good frame rate. )

Just double-checking, I would be perfectly fine if I'm ONLY gaming on a single monitor, though?

When I said 1080p on both, I meant game on one at 1080p and video edit on the other using 1080p resolution videos. Again, just for clarification. Thanks. :)
