Hi i have a samsung U28D590 4k 60hz monitor and i overclocked it at 4k at 65hz form 60,in 1440p i managed to achieve 85 and the same for 1080p.
But on 4k The screen flickers a lot in 65hz,so 64 was the one i found comfortable without flickering on the screen (except for some in a while, but not much to notice)
Why does my screen flicker when i oc the monitor in 4k res ?
And could i fix that ?

Solution
Because overclocking a monitor is nothing like overclocking a computer.

You're going to have issues like that. Period. The connections that we have right now aren't even close to providing enough bandwidth to run 4k at high resolutions, and even if they were, the monitor isn't made for it. You're taking a chance on blowing out its circuitry just to get an extra 4Hz and to be able to say that it's overclocked... not worth it in my mind.

Overclocked monitors can have serious issues, and on top of that, simply do not look as fluid or as good as a monitor designed to run at a high refresh rate by default. (Especially since that monitor has an IPS panel.)
