Hello. I bought a new custom pc recently and I keep having issues with it although I really think I shouldn't be.

My specs are :

-mobo asau z87 extreme4
-cpu i5 4670k
-cooler 212 evo
-psu 750w tx
-4 x 2 gb ram ripjaw
-gpu r9 290 tri-x sapphire

In games like planetside 2 i get 30fps, in crysis 3 at the first lvl i with everything maxed around 20 and other games like blade and soul or warface it drops to 20 fps sometimes from 50 for no reason.

I have updated my drivers, I have reinstalled windows and etc. Thing is the 290 is new and I just received it a couple of days ago. With my old GPU a 7750 I was able to run blade and soul smoothly with everything maxed with a constant 50 fps probably? I didn't check but I never had fps drop or whatever. Could someone help me please? Thanks in advance.

yep, in device manager i can only see the 290 driver. but I doubt I could even run crysis if my pc was using it, leave aside maxing it.

did you check the temps of your graphics card and the clock speed?
you can check this with gpu-z for example

Uninstall your drivers restart the computer. When windows tries to update the drivers deny it and install fresh from the AMD website.

I tried playing crysis 3 again with AA disabled and it went the same way. Also tried the valley benchmark and the average score for my gpu is 1989 while i scored 2033. So then it might not be the gpu itself... I have no idea what could make my games lag so hard. My cpu runs at 50-60 with crysis and I used prime 95 for about 10 minutes or more and it was working well I think... What could it be? *sigh*

did you try remounting the gpu? maybe play around with your RAM a bit, put them in different slots?
