I have purchased a tplink wr841n router from amazon for my small office, I am running into the problem where the router is only allowing a max of 15 devices connect via wifi.

I checked dhcp and that is assigning from 100-199 but when I see 15 devices on that list and try to connect another device, it simply wont connect.

is there anyway to bypass this limit? or is there a setting where a specific mac address can bypass this limit when requesting to connect?

First of course try factory firmware upgrade in case it is a bug. They you can look at third party firmware like dd-wrt. Be very careful they have made multiple version of this router with the same name but different chips on the inside which means you need to make sure you get the right firmware.

Although most routers do not have hard limits they start to quickly degrade when you get too many devices connected. "Too many" tends to depend on the application you are running. You can get lots of idle machines but you can only get a very small number of machines that are very active...like streaming HD video. Many times the maximum recommended number is 10 but this assume light web surfing use.

You may want to add another AP to...
The device limit may be imposed by the manufacturer because the device doesn't have the hardware to handle all the devices. Most mid range to upper end routers can handle 54 devices plus. You can either buy a new router. Or you can buy a access point to attach to the router. This will create a new wifi network for other devices.

You may want to add another AP to try to reduce the load on a signle radio or maybe get a dual band device so you can off load some users to the 5g band.
