change IP address

Solution
Why do you want to change the IP? The IP is usually statically assigned to the device, or DHCP leased for a month or so in most places. If it's DHCP, a power cycle of the router might get a new IP, or the DHCP server will see the MAC address already has an IP and reassign it.

Otherwise you will have to contact Verizon and ask them to change the IP. But they will want to know why, and may refuse to do so until you tell them.
