I'm experiencing black screen crashes under some gaming scenarios that only occur when using BOTH sticks (in either set of memory slots) with 2x4 GB Corsair Vengeance Blue 1600Mhz PC312800 DDR3 RAM. (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B)

I've tried to reproduce the problem using 1 stick at a time and I get no crashes. I've tried with 1 stick at a time PLUS another RAM stick from a friend and no black screen crashes, either. I've run memtest86 overnight on the sticks together as well as 4 passes on each one at a time and no errors. However, once I put both sticks back in I get the same black screen crashes.

Have monitored temps and all are normal.

My system specifications are in the following link:
http://pcpartpicker.com/b/434CmG

Any advice or ideas at this point would be helpful.

Thanks.

I've replaced my RAM and the problem is still around. I've made sure my video and audio drivers are latest up to date and updated my Mobo bios to latest version and still have the issue. So it's either the graphics card, mobo, or PSU.

I was monitoring power supply and m "VIN4" (whatever that is) seems to have really high variance. Is that concerning?

Things you could do to diagnose the problem is downloading Blue Screen View to see what comes as a error. Or you could try to do as writin in the site - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ff700221.as... and send the error message. It could also be a hardware issue linked to the motherboard, like a bad connection. But try the first things I said. Hope you find it out :)

Are the sticks set up under XMP? Do you have the latest BIOS? (2 most common problems w/ DRAM)

Yes they are set up under XMP. Yes I have the latest BIOS for the Motherboard.

Then deactivate the XMP profile because your computer could not handle it. And try to "overclock" the RAM yourself.

DRAM should be fine, try the DRAM voltage at 1.55 and see if that helps, one or both sticks might be a tad weak
