Hi guys,
I am planning to build a gaming computer so I decided to put Sapphire Radeon R9 280X TOXIC in it. I suppose I can play lots of modern games on full details (with anti-alias) for some years and I am also planning to buy another two monitors (three in AMD eyefinity). I am AMD fan and I have "grown up" on AMDs Sapphire cards and I never had problems with them. I had nVidia only once, but that was on an old computer and that card has burned out... Anyway, do you think R9 280X TOXIC is great choice? Will I be able to play modern games on some high details even with three monitors? And is there any card from nVidia that is more powerful for R9 280X TOXIC's price?
Thanks for answers :)

P.S.: I am sorry if there are any mistakes in my English

Not sure if the "toxic" is worth the price difference over the "tri-x". Check out the XFX models as well, as they may be a little cheaper.

If you really want Eyefinity/Surround, VRAM start to become important. You might want to consider bumping up to the 4GB Sapphire Tri-X R9 290, or the 4GB NVIDIA GTX 770.

The Sapphire R9 280X TOXIC is an excellent card but the Vapor-X http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IPZW686 is an even better cooler at a lower price point. I'd recommend the Vapor-X over the TOXIC any day.

Agreed, if you do stick with a Sapphire R9 280X, the TOXIC isn't worth $50 more than the Vapor-X for a few FPS. You can probably overclock the Vapor-X to match the Toxic anyway. Tri-X is also cheaper and comparable.

FYI, if you buy from NewEgg right now, you get 2 free games

Nobody is arguing that. The question is it worth $50-80 premium. You're only $30 away from a MUCH faster R9 290, or you can still get 95% of the performance with a much cheaper Tri-X/Vapor-X, which can both be overclocked to match the TOXIC anyway.

Thanks for your advice and for replies from all of you. I was searching for R9 290 and I found one for a lower price than R9 280X TOXIC!! Now I have it and I am just waiting for the rest of my PC :)
