Hello
I have a really annoynig problem with AVG 2014. After I unistalled AVG 2014 I couldn't Access the inter anymore, even tought I was connected. - couldn't visit websites, do updates. So I did a system restore to the point where AVG 2014 was installed and did a repair install but nothing changed - still can't Access Internet. Windows doesn't reports any network issues, only reports I should get an Antivirus programm. I "activated" AVG as Antivirus but nothig happened, I just get another message to get an antivius software.
I have no idea what I'm supposed to do now..

What browser do you use? Have you tried the internet connection wizard to reset the connection? Does windows show you connected to the internet on the network map? Have you tried to run any commands (ie. ping a site) from a command prompt or ipconfig? Do you still send and receive emails?Have you checked device manager to see if and devices are not properly working?

I've tried chrome and IE, non of them was able to establish a connection. It just loads the page and after just stops, says page has expired. Tried Wizard no issues were found. Windows shows the full map with connection. The map look like its normaly connected but i still cant visit websites nor update, for example AVG. No, I cant send recive or send mails.
Haven't tried ipconfig and didnt checked device manager. I will try this now.

I'd probably cut off the Windows Firewall (or if you've got another Firewall package installed?) - shut them off and see if behavior changes.

If not, then I'd go back and turn the Firewall back on. This is just a guess... I've never had this happen when I kicked AVG to the curb...

Please post those ping test results to both the domain and the direct IP please. Also post the results from an "ipconfig /all" please.

I'm assuming you're using a router and you have other devices that can use the internet, correct?

Okay that's half of what I needed. Now post the ping results from both pinging the domain and ip address.

Thus far it appears you do have a valid IP off your router and you should be able to ping 192.168.2.1 (don't test this IP yet though, try google.com and 8.8.8.8 and post results).
