hi guys, bought a pny780ti pure performance but for some reason it doesn't seem to be recognised by windows, it powers up and fans and LEDs run, I've updated the bios and motherboard drivers but still nothing

could it be my power supply isn't pumping out enough power, it needs two 8 pin connectors but mine only has one, it came with splitters to convert 2 6 pin plugs to one 8 pin, but I only have 2 6 pin connectors so I bought 6 pin to 8 pin adaptors to power it up could that be the problem?

The psu is +12V1 30A; +12V2 30A i think you need atleast 60A ive never heard of that card but im pretty sure its eating power like hummer on highway so..try to boot up with less high-end card or motherboard gpu does it work?

this is the current card I have: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LHIPLK8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, it worked previously with my old gpu which was a 9600gt, ah I just read the box it needs at least 42 amp rating on the 12v rail, so I need a new psu im guessing?

ok the prices for me are like bugged or something but i dont know you can make some exceptions or something so check this link http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html i would recommend you getting psu of Tier one-two and atleast 750w for good run for the card:) and also check if its has enough pcie connectors etc..but those tier one and tier one are really good for gaming so i think they will have everything you need :)

right well ive narrowed it down to two psus this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/XFX-Edition-Bronze-Semi-Modular-Supply/dp/B008O50WGA/ref=sr_1_6?s=computers&rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1409782586&sr=1-6&keywords=xfx , and this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zalman-ZM700-GT-700W-Power-Supply/dp/B007LFV2JU/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=undefined&sr=1-1&keywords=zalman+zm700

is it worth saving the extra money and getting the zalman or should I stick to the xfx one? the zalman being quad rail does it have the same out put as the xfx?
