Hi all,

First time posting on T.H. For the previous 14 years I have been a massive fan of EQ1/EQ2 with the new game coming out in the future I gathered I better look at upgrading my PC.

With a low budget I am looking at upgrading this old thing (4 years to be precise) to be able to run games such as GW2/EQ:Next/Planetside 2. My main aim is to slowly upgrade the PC over the next six months affording parts when I can.

I am looking at preferably running games at a steady FPS (30?) whilst in a large 'zerg'. Looking at advice on what mobo, graphics card etc to buy and anything else that is needed.

DxDiag below: (thanks in advance!) I understand the system is pretty useless for gaming but my current budget is tight after the wife got laid off work!

Solution

I would suggest you have at least 700-1000 euros before attempting to build a new PC, as that's what I would be recommending at this time. Or else, you could
1, Switch mobos
2, Upgrade to DDR3 RAM (if it's not already DDR3) and add about another 3-5 GB.
3, Get a GPU
Which I would recommend waiting about 3-5 months, depending on the parts.
