What is a good 2TB HDD?

Solution
WD BLACK SERIES WD2003FZEX 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - $139.99 and there is a coupon code for additional savings that expires on 9/5/2014. 5-year warranty

There is a 2TB Seagate dirve for $94.99
Seagate Barracuda STBD2000101 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Retail kit. 2-year warranty

Both of those drive were found on Newegg.

I have both WD and Seagate drives that I have been using for more than two years and have never had any trouble with either with lots of reads and writes.

Pity it's newegg only; I'm biased, I just go after new/used Enterprise drives, got a whole
bunch of new Hitachi/Seagate models for less than that recently, way more reliable than
consumer models (cheapest was the equivalent of $80 for a Hitachi 2TB Enterprise).

For new stuff though, if you want reliability, don't buy the eco junk or low end. Get
something at least vaguely reasonable. I'm not sure I'd ever feel safe with anything
below a WD Black or equivalent. I did buy one Red 2TB, faulty, sent it back (which
once again put me off the consumer junk).

Barracuda has one of the worst reps for reliability. Definitely not as good as the Black.

Depends on the usage scenario though I guess. I'm too used to environments where
drives get pretty hammered. :D Light consumer use should be fine with any of them,
but I'd still suggest the Black if you can afford it.
