Which upgrade should I get? My options are an MSI 3GB 280x to crossfire my Sapphire 7970 OC edition, or should I get a Samsung 840 Evo 500GB to make my computer run faster. Both will be beneficial as I'm starting to get to the point where I can't max out games any more, Im normally just below. (First World Problems, I know) But my computer is also a little sluggish, which I'm sure is because of my HDD. When say a little sluggish, I mean ADHD sluggish. My computing needs currently are normal school things like writing papers, taking a class or two online, powerpoint, then there is gaming in which I play AAA titles like Skyrim, Battlefield 4, Max Payne 3, hopefully GTA 5, I also watch tons of movies on my blu ray. There is usually always a movie in the background of what I'm doing unless I'm gaming, and lastly I edit and render videos occasionally with some friends using Sony Vegas.

My Specs:
Windows 8.1 Pro
Intel i7 4770k @ 4.2ghz
Asrock Z87 Extreme4
1TB HDD @ 7200 rpm
AMD 7970 Sapphire OC edition @ 1000 mhz
16GB RAM 1600mhz

850 will be fine as a I run a 750 without issue and have done so for over a year. I also overclock everything (ram, cpu and GPU)

so in steam you can change where the games are installed to but i do not know how to move them once they have been installed.

the 512 gig crucial is going for about $200 nowadays i just picked one up last week. i used to use a 120 gig just for the os and productivity files but after 3 years it just filled up to close to max and performance went downhill.

above is about backing up your files and moving directories^^

Splendid
get a crucial 256 gig SSD for about $120 and then pick up a MSI twin frz 7970 used for about $180. thats what i did just with 7950's instead.

then save up for a 1440p/1600p monitor from korea.

msi honors the warranty even if you buy it used. it is a 36 month warranty and they go by the s/n on the back of the card. never had a problem myself with getting one replaced

Is there a way to determine how much memory my program files will take up? I found the size of my Program Files (x86) folder which has all of my steam folders and origing folders in it at least and it was 375GB and I don't want to uninstall any of those programs. I appreciate the advice on getting both though!

And also, I have 850 watt PSU, that should handle Crossfire.
