Hi, I've searched this forum for answers relating to what graphics card I can run on my PC which has a 300W psu. Heres the details for my machine

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03...

Please note I replaced the processor listed in that document with an i7 4790 drawing 85W

After looking around here for answers it seems this graphics graphics card is the best I can use

http://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-Cooling-1189MHz-1268MHz-Gr...

Could my current psu handle this card? I need a nvidia card primarily so I can use the Octane render engine. It would also be nice to be able to play videogames occassionally.

Is the card listed above suitable? Or is there an alternative you would recommend? I'm a tech dummy

Get a better PSU. Sometimes the ones built into prebuilt systems aren't even capable of their ratings.

That GPU should run fine but I would get a different power supply. Get one created by Seasonic or XFX.

Get a GTX 750 Ti that doesn't require a six pin connector (about half do, half don't). You should be fine.
