i have a asus z97a motherboard i just purchased.I am running an amd radeon 7750 as of right now. So i decided to swap that card out for an evga nvidia geforce 650 ti ssc. Once i powered on the pc the fan of the gpu started spinning an nothing came up on the display.I tested the card on an asrock motherboard to see if the card had issue and it powered on normally.Asus dosent seem to know what the problem is...

Did you plug in the PCI-E 6 pin cable into the back of it?

Did you completely get rid of all the AMD drivers first, might try booting into Safe Mode

Don't know your friend but we see people everyday having problems going from AMD to nVidia or vice versa, or even staying the same AMD to different AMD and that's often the problem
