Ok so earlier I had said that I had more money than I realized I had when asking for a card recommendation to match with my i5 4460. I actually only have $170. What is the best card that I can match up with this cpu? I don't know much about if certain cards will bottleneck, so any help is grateful. Thanks.

An r9 270x is what you are probably looking at.

Nothing will cause that i5 to be a bottleneck.

will the i5 cause the 270x to bottleneck?

The GPU will always be the limiting factor. So yes, the 270x will prevent you for maxing games at 1080p simply because it is not strong enough.

That i5 is good for WAY stronger GPUs. the CPU will not limit ANYTHING.

Ok so looking at pcpartpicker (the only website I know that shows good comparable prices) the only 270x that is under $170, is a "Club 3D '14series". Then for $179 (which I could probably do) is a "HIS IceQ X2" or a "PowerColor PCS+". All of which are 2Gb. Which would be the better of the three. I ask because I have no experience with any of them. I personally prefer XFX but there are no 270x's for that budget.

There is no real performance difference between them.

I would probably buy the HIS or the Powercolor. But really, any will be fine.
