Alright so I'm gonna be building my first gaming computer here soon. I think I have everything now and would like a second opinion before I buy. My goal is to be able to play everything on max, games now and in the future for as long as I can of course. And do it somewhat cheaply I would love to be able to spend $2500 plus but unless I hit some lottery that's not in the budget.

My list:

Any suggestions to save some cash would be appreciated lol

Drop the EVGA and get a Seasonic, Antec, of XFX or Corsair AX unit. Also get an r9 290x and use the saved money for the better PSU and to wait, and get the FX 8370E instead. Its clocked higher (4.4Ghz turbo) and its only 95W which will make overclocking a thousand times better.

Mainly trying to future proof with the 780, and i could always spend a little extra on a PSU but good call on the FX I haven't read anything on that until you said something, looks like I'm gonna have to go with that! I'm not sure about the whole over locking thing yet, figured I would tackle that when I had everything built and logged some hours playing with everything but still good to know!

how exactly is the 780ti more future proof than the 290x? i just mean in what sense, because the 4GB on the 290X makes it more future proof for high resolution textures and on higher resolution monitors/HDTVs.

The only thing I am going off of is based on the comparisons I've seen basically, I have done some research but not tons haha
I'm gonna do some digging right now.
