Hey all,

I currently have an Asus Radeon R9 270 and for the price it's great for running games. However, my main goal for this build is to render videos... FAST. When I bought the card I had nobody to help me choose, saw "OpenGL" on the box and thought that was "OpenCL" and mistakenly thought that was what I want. Nahh.... Turns out I want CUDA! Which means I'm gonna have to exchange this for an NVIDIA card.

I have checked out the studio1productions.com article about this issue and it avoids giving a specific recommendation. I was hoping this community could help me out in that regard!

Would anyone be kind enough to help me choose a new card in the same price range, good enough to run Skyrim on Ultra but also something that can significantly improve my video rendering speed? Thanks!

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Immediately

BUDGET RANGE: $200 is my ceiling before rebates. I know I'm not going to get workstation quality out of this tiny budget, but from what I can gather from my limited investigation, any CUDA is better than no CUDA.

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: PremierePro/Camtasia/Vegas video editing and rendering. Skyrim and similar games on Ultra secondary but expected.

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: ASUS Radeon R9 270 DirectCU II OC, Corsair CX500M

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: Gigabyte H97-D3H MoBo with an i7 4790k, 16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Amazon Prime, Newegg is fine too, or Fry's Electronics (I have to return my current one there anyway).

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: AZ, USA

PARTS PREFERENCES: NVIDIA is a must for CUDA of course. Past that, no preference.

OVERCLOCKING: No SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1080

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: The faster a video can render, the better. I don't have a crazy multi monitor setup or anything. I may eventually wanna run HDMI to my 42" TV though. I don't care about noise, but I'm in AZ so the cooler the better. Also, I only have one 6 pin power cord to use so I don't want anything that would require more than that.

I'm currently looking at this one, though it is well above my budget: http://www.amazon.com/GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5-GeForce-256-bit...
