hello
im rikka, n i have a transcend hard disk 500gb.
and recently it asking me to format. the thing is, ive done my research and it seems like my problem is quite similar with venkat, who face the same problem in july 2011.
ive done all suggestions like john_vankirk ask her to do.
but my hhd still not recovered. and it always show me 'the parameter is incorrect'.
please help me. ive got tons of data which cant be replaced..

Have you looked at this thread on the subject? This one is from Microsoft but it tell you to do the same thing.

Please let us know if you have already tried the suggestion above and we can go from there.

Have you tried hard drive data recovery software (like this: freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/04/data-recovery.html) to see whether the tons of data inside could be restored back? Have you tried this hard drive on another computer? Just inform us your results quickly.

try to access your hard disk using the linux os.

you have to run the live os on your machine and then you can take your data to other device and then format your drive..

that's it

i've tried to recovere my datas back by using "euseus data recovery wizard full edition..
the thing is, i recovered my data back. its there.
but for video formats, i cant open it. it say "undf" file format.
any idea?

and yes, i tried on another pc, but still not working..

i've tried it but still not working. My hdd ask me to format. but if i may,i want recover all my data first before format it.. can u show me other solutions step by step? i'm sorry for asking u this..
