hey guys,
I was using my computer one day when my computer started to make this audible buzz noise. it seemed like it was coming from the CPU area on my motherboard I figured it would be the capacitors, but i could hear it across the room and it my caps already have their own high pitched noise. After I heard this buzz, I never heard it again. (by the way i built this computer several months ago)

REALLY WEIRD.

could you guys help me figure out what that buzz could be?

thanks!

Probably the power supply, which is a bad indication of it dying.

I have a corsair cx 500. that is a really high quality psu. plus, the sound was not coming from the psu anyways, its from the cpu area

Actually the corsair CX 500 is very often criticized for having something such as "low capacitors" on this forum. I think it's fine, though.

The CX500 is a low quality PSU.

It's for budget \ Office builds.

Card fan , Case Fan , PSU , one of the three.

test the power supply by shorting green and black wires and see if you can hear buzzing noise.
