Hey guys,
I have a pretty old pc and I want to upgrade my graphics card and ram, I'm not really sure what's compatible anymore.

Here's my specs:
Mobo: Gigabyte p35 ds3l
cpu: Core 2 duo e6750 @2.66
gfx: nvidia 7900 gs
ram: 2gigs of geil @800
ps: Corsair hx520

More about : upgrade

What's your budget? I really recommend either building anew one or just upgrading the while system (pretty similar to building a new one).

Oh right the budget. I'll say $100 for the graphics card. I don't really want to build a new pc right now. Really I just want a new graphics card. My issue is I'm not sure which ones will work with my MoBo and won't be killed by my small power supply.

520W would support even a 280x assuming you aren't overclocking the CPU.

My motherboard has pcie x16 only. Will a pcie x16 3.0 card work with it? Just looking on newegg, a lot of people seem to be having issues with this card just going on the internet. Are you guys sure this is a reliable product?

Yep, it will work just fine. Asus makes solid products. Definitely reliable from my experience.

If you can find them for a reasonable price, sure. Otherwise hold off till you can get a new set of DDR3/4 when you upgrade again.

+1 about to list that too.

4gb of ddr2 and a r7 250x or nvidia gt750 and you should see a good improvement. Its too bad you dont live near me i literally have parts lying around i could give you that would improve that pc, an 8800gts and plenty of ddr2 ram.

I couldn't find them. Would it be a waste to just get a cheap 1 gig stick or a pair?
