USB flash drive not recognized

I have a mac laptop and i had my memory stick plugged into it going through pics i have saved on there for years!!!! my daughter bugged it and it came up about improper ejecting of the disk, but then after that when i plugged it back in, now it comes up that the computer does not recognize!!!!! someone please help, i have years of memories on this memory stick!!! can I get it back?

This USB flash drive seems to be damaged by this improper ejection. Immediately start the Chkdsk tp see whether the drive problem could be fixed. Or you may try this USB flash drive on another computer to see whether it is the problem of your computer.

You could search download.cnet.net for the program or some other reputable site.
