best way to get my ping better

hi ive been looking for a better way to get my ping better my friend has better ping then me and he is on the same company as me with 250g and im on 500gb so im wondering how i can get better ping i do speed test and it says i have a 5mb and up it .76 but i get no where close to that from what i have seen i have never seen my internet go over 800kb/ps so any help is good sorry if this is in wrong category

Depending slightly on what method you use to connect to the exchange, will make the world of difference to ping and speed. If you're using copper telephone wires over any sort of significant distance then your ping will suffer and so will your speeds. If you have something like FTTC/H then you might have some sort of problem with your in-house wiring and/or router.

Also 5mb means 5Mbit, so with that you would expect download speeds of around 520Kbytes/sec. With .76mb upload (that means 760Kbit upload), which in turn means around 80Kbytes/sec.
