My Turtle Beach X12's recently started making a popping or crackling noise every few seconds. It's very inconsistent, as of now they are silent, the way they should be. It all started when I was playing Battlefield 3. I turned up the volume higher than usual, for immersion. I've played games with the volume much louder, but after I quit Battlefield 3 to play Titanfall, I noticed that whenever there was a loud noise such as an explosion, it was quickly followed by a second long of static. After a while of just ignoring it, thinking it would go away, I quit, only to be greeted by the popping/crackling every few seconds. Did I damage my headset? If not, how can I fix it? If I did damage them, is it irreversible?
